Scott Jarvis inducted into Dover-New Phila Bowling Hall of Fame

Longtime area bowler Scott Jarvis was inducted into the Dover-Phila Hall of Fame last Friday at Ricardo’s Restaurant and Banquet Hall in New Phila.

Scott Jarvis was inducted into the Dover-Phila Bowling Corridor of Fame throughout a banquet Friday at Ricardo’s Restaurant and Banquet Hall in New Philadelphia.

Jarvis was inducted into the Corridor of Fame for Meritorious Service. 

Zachary Schupbach acquired recognition for the Don Maurer Star of Tomorrow Award. He was also awarded a $500 scholarship from the Dover-New Philadelphia USBC Association. 

Jarvis has been involved in bowling all his existence. He was born into a bowling spouse and children and is however energetic in the activity.

At the age of 6, he bowled in the inaugural Adult-Youth Match (1979) with “Ducky” Deem. He competed in the Mini-Prep Division and bowled a 139 collection.

He bowled as a prep youth with an normal of 131 and moved into the junior-key division with a substantial average of 161. He ongoing bowling in the Grownup-Youth Tournaments as the “adult” where by he coached associates these types of as TJ Geers, Nathan Geers, Sydney Keith and Michael Anderson.
